About the Author Alan H. Nierenberg is the founder and principal of the executive search firm, People Options, LLC. He was previously a vice president-human resources, a hiring manager, a job seeker, and he has been advising job seekers for twenty years on how to find a job. His experiences from each of these perspectives make Winning the Interview Game the book to read from recent graduates to managers, vice presidents and chief executive officers-- before going on the next job interview. BackgroundPrior to starting his recruiting firm, Alan was a vice president-human resources at mid-sized and entrepreneurial firms. He was previously on the management team of Verizon, PricewaterhouseCoopers and other organizations where he frequently interviewed candidates for employment. Based on his career experiences, he believes that interviewing is one of the greatest challenges facing job seekers. He is a frequent speaker at networking groups where he shares his interviewing skills. Alan’s education includes an M.B.A. from Baruch College of CUNY and a B.A. from Hofstra University. He is the past co-chair of the Executive Forum, a senior management group, and currently serves on the Board as its Mentoring Chairperson. He is a member of the Institute of Management Consultants, and he is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC). |
